Be part of something new. Drive the future with us. Our journey started back in 1929 and nearly a century later, we’re still moving forward. Now, we’re opening a brand-new, state-of-the-art depot in Durham, and we’re looking for skilled, customer-focused Route Planners to help us bring it to life.

Are you friendly and outgoing? Do you have previous planning experience especially with Paragon? Do you have a natural talent to build relationships? Are you experienced in Microsoft Office, Excel & Word? Do you enjoy working as part of a team? Do you love organisation?

As a Route Planner at Bidfood, you’ll communicate with a range of people across departments within our business. Day to day you’ll be:

  • Planning our customers' orders in the most efficient way, whilst complying with customer KPIs and drivers' working time directive.
  • Working with both the local Transport team as well as our sales teams.
  • Maintaining the master data file so that it is kept up to date and relevant.
  • Carrying out administrative and reporting duties to help the depot meet its legislative and corporate governance requirements.
  • Responding in a timely and efficient way to changes in customer requirements.

This role will keep you busy in an environment where our diverse customer range requires meticulous planning. You’ll get technical with updating Excel spreadsheets, reviewing previous plans looking for additional efficiencies. You’ll be confident in seeking out support when you need it, not afraid to ask questions and suggest new ideas and ways of working.

With everything you do, you’ll always be focused on delivering the best service to our teams. It’s fast-paced, so you’ll need to work quickly and efficiently - but it’s also very rewarding! It is essential you have previous Route Planner experience.
