A specialist FM bid team is looking for a Bid Manager who’s tenacious, proactive, and confident owning complex bids from qualification to submission. This is a fully remote role within a modernising bid function that values autonomy, balance, and high quality delivery.

The role

  • Lead end to end FM bids – typically multi million pound opportunities across public and private sectors.
  • Manage timelines, coordinate SMEs, shape solutions, review and refine content, and ensure every submission is compelling, compliant, and commercially sound.
  • Expect 3–4 bids at different stages, supported by experienced bid writers and a collaborative, improvement focused leadership team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Running full bid cycles – storyboarding, solution shaping, content editing, governance, and final submission.
  • Reviewing and refining content produced by dedicated bid writers and SMEs.
  • Coordinating virtual contributors across operations, finance, legal and technical functions.
  • Supporting pricing development and understanding risk, margin drivers and FM commercial models.
  • Maintaining and improving an FM bid library, including use of AI tools to accelerate bid development.
  • Handling clarifications and supporting presentations post submission.

What’s needed

  • Experience managing FM or FM adjacent bids, ideally across hard/soft services or TFM environments.
  • Strong writing/editing skills and the ability to turn technical solutions into clear, winning narratives.
  • Confident project management of multiple, parallel bids.
  • Remote working discipline with excellent communication and coordination capability.
  • Commercial awareness of FM delivery models, SLAs/KPIs, mobilisation and procurement frameworks.

What makes this role attractive

  • A supportive, non micromanaging Bid Director focused on improving processes, building a strong library, modernising tools, and protecting work life balance.
  • Flexibility is built in, and output (not hours) is what matters.
