In this role you will manage the full tender lifecycle, ensuring submissions meet the company’s quality standards and deadlines. Bid Solutions is working with a leading healthcare provider to recruit an experienced Bid Writer to join their dynamic team. This is a remote role based in the UK, with occasional travel to client sites.
In this pivotal position, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end bid process, ensuring high-quality, timely submissions that align with the organisation’s strategic goals. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to craft compelling proposals that reflect clinical excellence, innovation, and social value.
Candidates are required to have a strong understanding of NHS commissioning, safeguarding protocols, and regulatory frameworks such as NICE and CQC. Your expertise will directly contribute to securing contracts that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Bid Writer Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior leaders to define, execute, and evolve the bid strategy, aligned with organisational goals and compliance standards.
- Manage the full bid process including PQQs, ITTs, technical responses, and post-award activities, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and manage tender portals as primary bid contact.
- Lead internal stakeholder engagement across finance, clinical, marketing, HR, and operations to gather input and approvals.
- Maintain and update the bid library, ensuring consistency, compliance, and incorporation of social value elements.
- Ensure all bids comply with formatting, quality, budget sign-off, and CQC standards.
- Track risks and resolve complex technical, strategic, and commercial issues throughout the bid process.
- Coordinate contract mobilisation with central support teams following bid success.
Bid Writer Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in bid writing, ideally within health or public sector environments.
- Proven ability to deliver successful multi-million-pound bids with a strong understanding of NHS commissioning, safeguarding, NICE guidelines, and CQC compliance.
- Experience in developing win strategies, leading commercial discussions, and solution design.
- Comfortable engaging with CEO / Director level stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Demonstrable ability to manage multiple bids within tight deadlines, maintaining high quality and compliance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficient in bid management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Clean driving licence and willingness to travel nationally as required.
