Are you looking for a Bid Manager role that offers genuine autonomy and flexibility, within a business investing in its work-winning function and building a collaborative, high-performing bid culture? This is an opportunity to join an established electrical compliance and property safety solutions provider, operating extensively across the social housing market. The business is investing significantly in its work-winning capability, with an experienced Head of New Business and Senior Bid Manager leading the development of the function. You will join a collaborative team including Bid Writers, a Bid Coordinator and Estimator, taking responsibility for managing bids through the full lifecycle and bringing together stakeholders from across the business.

Rather than simply inheriting an established process, you will have the opportunity to influence how the function develops, take ownership of important submissions and contribute directly to improving how the business wins work.

Your Duties:

  • Take ownership of bids from initial opportunity and kick-off through to final submission
  • Work closely with the Senior Bid Manager and Head of New Business to develop bid strategy, win themes and compelling responses
  • Manage multiple concurrent bids, coordinating input from operational, commercial and technical stakeholders
  • Lead bid kick-off meetings, storyboard sessions, reviews and progress meetings throughout the bid lifecycle
  • Write, review and edit tender responses, ensuring submissions are persuasive, compliant and tailored to client requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the wider bid team, including Bid Writers, Bid Coordinator and Estimator, to deliver high-quality submissions
  • Support the continued development of bid processes, content, governance and best practice across the work-winning function

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience working as a Bid Manager, Assistant Bid Manager, Senior Bid Writer, Proposal Manager or similar
  • Experience managing bids through the full tender lifecycle, from qualification and kick-off through to final submission
  • Strong written and editorial ability, with experience writing, reviewing and improving high-quality tender responses
  • Experience working on public-sector tenders and/or frameworks, including housing associations or local authorities
  • Experience within social housing, property services, compliance, M&E or a related built-environment sector would be advantageous, but is not essential
