This Estimator role will involve managing the full tender process from initial enquiry through to final submission and handover, working closely with the bid and delivery teams. Key Duties- Reporting to the Managing Director
- Responsible for the financial preparation of bids for the business
- Ensure bids are risk assessed and reported to the directors
- Prepare submissions in the agreed format consistent with the company branding
- Present submissions to the directors for review
- Manage handover of successful bids to the delivery team
- Provide feedback and responses for the delivery team to assist with any post tender queries
- Preparing the cost components of the proposal, including understanding of the task, planning, assessing past performance and personnel in partnership with the management team
- Attend Site Visits as required
- Manage tender clarifications throughout the bid process
- Measuring & 'Taking-Off' quantities from drawings
- Financial and commercial awareness
- Experience as an Estimator
- Must have planned maintenance and refurbishment experience
- Ability to negotiate and influence
- Willing to travel to Bishop's Stortford - flexibility offered where needed
