The business has a strong presence through the UK, Europe & Asia and have been around for over 200 years and continue to be a force within the legal sector. The Bid Manager role will entail management of the full bid lifecycle, typically working one or two bids at a time, taking the bid all the way from conception to submission. An exciting opportunity for someone looking for a stable bidding role, with freedom, flexibility and an identified team around them.
Key Duties:
- Project managing tenders from initial assessment, including bid/no bid qualification, through to drafting, submission, preparing teams for presentations and post submission feedback and reporting across both the private & public sector
- Identifying winning themes that convey an understanding of client requirements and differentiate our offering to those of our competitors
- Generating written responses and marketing materials that are completed to a high standard and are compelling, clear, and compliant
- Developing and maintaining a library of precedent text for tenders including capturing all deal/transaction information to be utilised in future bids
- Managing internal stakeholders throughout the tender process
- Researching and establishing procurement cycles and engaging with procurement professionals within key target and key client organisations to contribute to the firm’s sales pipeline
- Providing input to the lessons learnt process from involvement with previous submissions
Experience Required:
- Bid Manager / Bid Writer experience
- Ideally a background in Legal – or alternatively other Professional Services experience
- Can manage the entire bid process in collaboration with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Willing to travel to Manchester up to 2-3 days a week, as well as occasional site visits
