This Bid Manager role will entail management of the full bid lifecycle, typically one bid at a time, taking the bid all the way from conception to submission. Key Duties:

  • Planning, drafting, writing, and coordinating question responses
  • Driving the capture and planning phase of each bid
  • Managing a range of stakeholder input including business development, operations, commercial, H&S, sustainability, social value, and legal
  • Identifying best practices in bidding and ensuring continual improvement
  • Visiting operational sites and other offices to gather information and improve our evidence library
  • Maintaining quality strike rate and achieving our internal bid Service Level Agreement
  • Enriching our bid library with active knowledge management, ensuring all lessons learned are fed back and implemented
  • Researching ways to improve bid content

Experience Required:

  • Tier One or Main Contractor competitive tendering within the public sector (ideally with social housing experience)
  • Previous Bid Manager / Bid Writer experience
  • Ability to manage the entire bid process in collaboration with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel to Hatfield up to 3 days a week, as well as occasional site visits around the South of England
