We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Store Design Manager to lead the design, delivery and governance of retail fit‑out and development projects across the Village. This is a senior, high‑impact role at the heart of our guest experience, working in close partnership with our brand partners, internal stakeholders and local authorities.

As our Senior Retail Development Manager, you will lead the design management, delivery and compliance of retail fit‑out and development projects across the Village, including new store openings, refurbishments, food & beverage units and guest‑facing installations.

  • Lead end‑to‑end retail fit‑out projects, from brand orientation and design approval through to delivery and post‑opening snagging.
  • Act as the primary interface between Brands, internal stakeholders, contractors and local authorities.
  • Ensure full compliance with building regulations, the Building Safety Act, internal standards and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee on‑site works, health & safety compliance, programme management and quality control.
  • Manage permits, approvals and ongoing relationships with local authorities and utility providers.
  • Embed sustainability, ESG and energy reduction principles across all Retail Development projects.

Role requirements:

  • Degree‑qualified or equivalent in architecture, surveying or interior design, with strong retail development or project management experience.
  • Proven track record of leading complex store openings and fit‑out programmes, managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent knowledge of local building regulations, statutory approvals and compliance requirements.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and 3D visualisation software (e.g. SketchUp); ability to produce and review technical documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills, with confidence engaging senior brand partners and local authorities.
  • Commercially minded, detail‑oriented problem‑solver with experience in international environments and a strong understanding of sustainability, ESG and energy reduction aligned to Net Zero 2030.
