We are seeking a confident, commercially minded, highly motivated and energetic lawyer to fill the key role of Assistant Legal Manager/Legal Manager for Bicester Village. In this broad in-house role, you will support the general advisory activities of the Bicester Village Legal Team, with specific focus on commercial contracts and marketing (including digital marketing). This is a varied role with an abundance of opportunities to develop as an in-house lawyer working closely with our great and well-established Bicester Village Legal Team. This role is a 12-month FTC and is based in Bicester Village 3 – 4 times per week.
About the role:
- Supporting a wide range of Value Retail departments, including Retail, Procurement, Operations, Guest Services, Hospitality and Visual Merchandising.
- Becoming a business partner to the Marketing department and providing legal advice and solutions for all Bicester Village marketing campaigns.
- Providing legal advice and support to Value Retail's rapidly growing online presence and digital marketing campaigns.
- Providing legal advice and support to Bicester Village's PR team with their advocacy work, any collaborations and PR consultancy agreements.
- Supporting the Guest Knowledge and Engagement team in implementing and maintaining the Bicester Village Membership programme, including drafting prize draw and reward terms and conditions.
- Active participation in our global legal team working groups (will be expected to join two groups of your choice – a wide range of subjects are covered).
Role requirements:
- English law qualified lawyer with up to 5 years' post qualification experience at a law firm and/or equivalent in-house experience.
- Good experience in Marketing and/or Commercial Contracts.
- Creative, sociable and solutions-driven.
