Our products are your daily dose of confidence, ready to take on whatever tangles life throws your way., We're looking for an experienced and visionary Print & Packaging Design Lead to define and lead the creative direction for all physical brand experiences across packaging, print and retail environments.

Reporting to the Head of Creative, you will own the creative packaging ecosystem, translating overarching brand strategy into distinctive packaging architecture, premium print execution and elevated retail experiences that strengthen the Tangle Teezer brand across every consumer touchpoint.

  • Packaging Design & Innovation
  • Lead the creative development of all packaging from initial concept through artwork, production and final manufacture.
  • Develop packaging architecture, layout systems, hierarchy, typography, materials and premium finishes that elevate product desirability and reinforce the brand identity.
  • Create physical mock-ups, prototypes and presentation visuals to communicate design intent, test functionality and refine consumer experiences prior to production.
  • Champion innovation across sustainable materials, print techniques, finishes and manufacturing processes, balancing creativity, commercial objectives and environmental impact.
  • Research emerging packaging trends, technologies and consumer behaviours to continually evolve the physical brand experience.
  • Production Excellence
  • Oversee artwork creation and production, ensuring all files are technically accurate including dielines, cutter guides, colour management, Pantone specifications, finishes and print requirements.
  • Lead colour approvals, print passes, production sign-offs and quality assurance across global suppliers, ensuring exceptional execution throughout manufacture.
  • Partner closely with Product Development, Commercial and external manufacturing partners to ensure all creative solutions are commercially viable, manufacturable and delivered to the highest quality standards.
  • Manage relationships with printers, packaging suppliers and production partners, ensuring consistency, quality and continuous improvement across all production outputs.
  • Retail & Visual Merchandising
  • Lead the creative development of retail experiences including point of sale, window displays, promotional materials, event collateral and retail graphics to maximise product visibility and consumer engagement.
  • Partner with Product Development and Commercial teams to develop structural packaging solutions, secondary packaging, retail displays and promotional glorifiers that enhance storytelling and strengthen shelf presence.
  • Ensure all physical touchpoints create a seamless and premium consumer experience across retail, wholesale and owned channels.
  • Leadership & Collaboration
  • Establish and maintain global packaging and artwork standards, ensuring consistency across all product categories and international markets.
  • Mentor and develop designers across the creative team, providing technical guidance, creative feedback and packaging expertise while helping raise overall creative standards.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships across Creative, Brand, Product Development, Commercial and Supply Chain to ensure packaging supports both creative ambition and commercial success.
  • Act as the creative authority for all packaging and print, confidently presenting concepts and influencing senior stakeholders throughout the development process.
  • Help shape the future evolution of the Tangle Teezer brand through continual innovation in packaging, print and physical consumer experiences.
  • 7-10 years' experience working across packaging, print and retail design within beauty or premium consumer goods
  • Outstanding portfolio demonstrating premium packaging, print, retail and physical brand experience.
  • Proven experience leading packaging programmes from concept through to global production.
  • Demonstrated experience developing packaging systems and physical brand identities across multiple product categories.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of print production, colour management, Pantone systems, packaging materials, finishes and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong understanding of structural packaging, packaging engineering principles and retail merchandising.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Commercial, Brand Marketing and external manufacturing partners.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and clearly articulate creative decisions.
  • Experience mentoring and managing designers and leading creative projects within fast‑paced environments.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple workstreams while maintaining exceptional creative quality.
  • Technical Proficiency
  • Expert Level: Adobe Illustrator and Adobe In Design
  • Advanced: Adobe Photoshop (Advanced)
  • Working Knowledge: Figma and Microsoft Office
  • Technical Knowledge
  • Expert understanding of offset, flexographic and digital print production.
  • Extensive knowledge of packaging materials, embellishments, finishes and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong understanding of structural packaging and packaging engineering principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of colour management, print quality control and global production standards.
  • Understanding of sustainability principles and emerging innovations within packaging design.
  • Knowledge of regulatory packaging requirements and production constraints.
