As the Logistics Assistant you will be instrumental in managing the smooth shipment of Tangle Teezer's inbound stock purchase orders and outbound sales orders, in line with priorities set by the Operations and Sales teams. You will work closely with suppliers, freight partners, 3PLs, and clients to support a compliant import/export operation.

Responsibilities

  • Process shipment bookings for regular and ad hoc global air, road, marine and courier transportation activities.
  • Raise shipping invoices and supporting documentation such as Certificates of Origin and EUR1 forms.
  • Plan multimodal export shipments in partnership with forwarders and global distributors, including end‑to‑end delivery management.
  • Arrange collection scheduling for outbound orders to support weekly/monthly planning in alignment with 3PL requirements and distributor needs.
  • Collaborate with the Production team, vendors and forwarders to plan, process, track and report the status of import shipments of inbound UK/US stock.
  • Update the Logistics Log with key shipment and cost data to support the Logistics Coordinator with timely KPI reporting.
  • Maintain the Logistics Admin mailbox, responding to queries on the status of export deliveries and customer non‑conformances.
  • Assist the Logistics Manager in reviewing internal and external outbound processes and identifying improved ways of working.
  • Raise and check freight and duty purchase orders, supporting Finance to complete timely payment of suppliers in alignment with internal processes.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics Coordinator to adapt to changes in international trade, customs and shipping conditions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years combined business experience within Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain or Import/Export Administration roles with exposure to multimodal freight.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to be agile in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well under pressure within the order fulfilment cycle constraints.
  • Basic understanding of Incoterms and HS codes.
  • Prior experience in raising and checking shipping documentation, including invoices and Certificates of Origin/EUR1 documentation.
  • Ability to maintain day‑to‑day operational relationships with forwarders and suppliers.
  • Freight benchmarking and quote comparison experience.
  • Collaborative approach to support the wider Logistics team with review of internal and external operational processes with 3PLs and forwarders.
  • ERP knowledge, preferably Microsoft Dynamics Navision, and high proficiency in Microsoft Office for data maintenance, analysis and reporting.
