The role:
As the Demand Planner you will be responsible for ensuring accurate forecasts are created and maintained for Tangle Teezer’s Direct markets using historical trends, sell-through data and sales plans. Collaborating with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing and Operations, you will own the forecast and ensure high levels of accuracy, optimised stock, and highlight risks/opportunities versus the financial budget.
In this role you’ll get to:
- Be responsible for creating accurate rolling 18-month demand forecasts using customers’ inventory and sell-through data, historical trends and best-practice planning methodology.
- Work closely with internal commercial and/or Distributor partner planning teams.
- Use statistical data and modelling to generate forecasts where robust forecasts aren’t available.
- Collaborate with the Production & Purchasing Planner to ensure the agreed demand plan is achievable – production capabilities / capacity – and work with the Customer Experience team to fulfil customer needs.
- Highlight any risks/opportunities versus the financial plan in the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process.
- Input into the product lifecycle management process and review ABC classifications.
What we are looking for in you:
- 2 years+ experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning or Operations.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with natural high attention to detail.
- Proficient Excel user with aptitude to develop skills further.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proactive, can-do attitude and desire to improve processes and outputs.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Dynamics NAV, AGR or other MRP desirable.
- Experience working with Amazon advantageous for Direct role.
