Requirements:
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience.
- Experience administering Entra ID (Azure AD) and Intune.
- Experience with Meraki firewalls and UniFi switching/wireless infrastructure.
- Solid networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Experience supporting Azure-hosted Windows and/or Linux servers.
- Strong written documentation and troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable working in a cloud-first environment.
- Balanced Microsoft and networking skillset.
- Methodical, quality-focused, and security-conscious approach.
- Strong ownership mindset and communication skills.
- Ability to commute to Cheadle SK8 or relocate before starting work.

Responsibilities:
- Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
- Manage Entra ID users, groups, roles, and access controls.
- Support the transition to cloud-only identity.
- Implement and maintain Conditional Access and MFA.
- Administer Microsoft Intune for device enrolment, compliance, and application deployment.
- Support endpoint security solutions and troubleshoot authentication and access issues.
- Manage Microsoft 365 licensing and tenant health.
- Administer Cisco Meraki firewalls, including WAN, VPNs, and firewall rules.
- Manage Ubiquiti UniFi switches and wireless infrastructure.
- Configure VLANs, segmentation, and wireless SSIDs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and ISP connectivity.
- Maintain network documentation and diagrams.
- Liaise with ISPs and network service providers.
- Support the phone system.
- Support Azure-hosted Windows and Linux servers.
- Perform OS-level administration, patching, and basic security hardening.
- Support backups, recovery, and availability.
- Contribute to performance and cost optimisation discussions.
- Contribute to IT department development through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
- Assist with onboarding and upskilling of IT team members.
- Develop and maintain technical standards and procedures.
- Produce clear, well-structured technical documentation and diagrams.

We are looking for an experienced IT Engineer to join our IS team in Cheadle Hulme on a hybrid remote basis. This is a hands-on, technically diverse role with a strong cloud-first focus and an even split between Microsoft 365 services and network infrastructure. You will help maintain and develop our global IT environment, support modern workplace technologies, and contribute to continuous improvement across systems, security, documentation, mentoring, and team capability.
