Department: Finance and Donor Care

Reports to: Manager/Director

Overall Responsibilities: You will be assuming all-round finance and accounting responsibilities of the office, ensuring smooth operation and accurate and timely delivery of monthly and annual financial reports. You will be in charge of monthly and yearly budgeting, financial planning, forecasting and annual audit.

Key areas of Responsibility:

  • Prepare and report Monthly/Quarterly Financial Statements for Board Meetings
  • Present Monthly/Quarterly Budget for Board's review and approval
  • Advise on finance matters as and when required - Audit, SOPs, etc
  • Ensure Financial Schedules are prepared (includes audit schedules) before Audit starts
  • Liaise with external auditors on audit requirements
  • Liaise with HODs on Budget preparation and the required documentation
  • Consolidate budget and submit for verification
  • Monitoring of actual expenditure to ensure that purchases are within budget
  • Review/submit Monthly Reports to the Director
  • Verify and submit Grant Reports
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Manager/Director
  • Assist the Director to present quarterly reports to the Board

Requirements:

  • A Degree in Accountancy or professional qualifications like ACCA
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience with at least two years handling full set of accounts, if possible
  • At least 3 years working experience in reporting role
  • Must be meticulous, IT proficient and familiar with Microsoft suite of products
  • Be able to work independently and has good communication skills
  • Has strong interpersonal skills, a team player and have strong sense of responsibility
  • Experience in a non-profit society will be an advantage
