COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER (WRITER) in Lee-on-the-Solent

Overall responsibility:
Execute the communications strategy through effective writing to strengthen the Bible Society’s brand, promote the Bible Mission, and support publicity andfundraising needs across media platforms. Provide additional communicationsupport as required by the organisation.

Key areas of Responsibility

1. Produce written content, including articles, speeches, editorials, fundraising appeals, press releases, website and social media copy, presentation decks, and proof-reading.
2. Collaborate with the media team and other departments to develop publicity, fundraising, and corporate communications content.
3. Plan and manage editorial content and brand messaging to promote the Bible Mission.
4. Leverage digital media, emerging platforms, and AI tools to enhance and expedite content creation.
5. Conduct research, gather stories and testimonials, and develop case studies and supporting content materials.
6. Coordinate project production and administrative tasks assigned by the SOL team seamlessly.
7. Provide communication support to sister Bible Societies for projects related to the Bible Society’s work.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated,detail-oriented, and able to multitask
• Team player with good organisational and analytical skills
• Diploma or Degree in are levant field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Doc
• Experience in copywriting; basic design is an advantage
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is an advantage
• Experience in social media marketing is an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams is an advantage
• Working knowledge of design or editing software is an advantage
