Bibis Italianissimo is a highly successful, renowned restaurant and cocktail bar with a reputation for exceptional food, service and live music events. This is an opportunity for a competent and career driven Pizza Chef to join our professional team of experienced chefs.
The successful Pizza Chef must have:
- Previous experience opening pizzas by hand.
- Knowledge on different dough-proving-bread-focaccia.
- Worked in the same role for more than two years.
- Worked in a high volume/quality restaurant producing exceptional food at speed.
- Previous experience of Italian/Mediterranean cuisine.
- To understand and be aware at all times of food costs (recipe costing) and percentages and understand how daily departmental costs influence profit and loss results.
- To monitor stock movement, to ensure stock security, you may be asked to partake in monthly stocktaking.
- To ensure minimum kitchen wastage.
- To assist with the provision of training and development for department staff in kitchen procedures.
- To ensure knowledge of the product is maintained and communicated to all relevant personnel.
- Experience of working under pressure whilst maintaining high standards & often working on multiple checks at the same time.
- Experience in maintaining food safety and all other statutory related company procedure.
- Full knowledge of the conditions of the food hygiene policies.
- Ability to work independently, planning & organising the section each day.
- Experience of completing daily and weekly procedures including temperature checks, food labelling/dating and storage and to ensure records of such are up to date.
- Flexibility to meet the demands of the business.
