What if your job wasn’t just about delivering training, but about genuinely shifting the way an entire business thinks about learning? What if you could sit at the table with senior leaders, challenge constructively, coach confidently and build something that lasts? At Bibby Financial Services, this isn’t about ticking the L&D box, it’s about influencing performance, shaping culture and building a workplace network that makes learning part of how we do business.

This is a role for someone personable, credible and commercially switched on. Someone who can build, deliver, coach and partner in equal measure.

What you’ll be doing

You won’t be sat behind a learning catalogue waiting for requests to come in, you’ll be out in the business. Building close internal relationships, partnering with colleagues & leaders and listening carefully, challenging thoughtfully and recommending confidently.

  • Partner with senior leaders and HR to identify real performance and capability gaps, using data, insight and commercial understanding.
  • Coach and empower managers to build high-performing teams, embedding high-performance behaviours at every level.
  • Design and deliver impactful learning interventions, some created by you, some curated, some digital, some face-to-face.
  • Influence the learning culture, ensuring development is integrated into daily operations, not bolted on.
  • Build a strong internal network and credibility for both yourself and the wider L&D offering.
  • Shape onboarding and leadership development so new and existing colleagues can perform at pace.
  • Leverage learning technology and digital tools to make development accessible, practical and measurable.
  • Evaluate impact properly, measuring real behavioural and performance change.

This role works across all levels of the organisation, from emerging talent to senior leadership. You’ll need to read the room, adapt your style and earn trust quickly.

What you’ll bring

You’re not just a facilitator, you’re a partner, a coach and builder of relationships: a person people want to talk to. You’ll likely bring:

  • Proven experience in Learning & Development, ideally within financial or professional services.
  • A track record of designing, delivering and embedding performance-focused learning interventions.
  • The confidence to coach leaders and make clear, commercially grounded recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence, challenge and build credibility at all levels.
  • Experience working with digital learning platforms and modern learning tools.
  • The ability to use data and metrics to inform decisions and demonstrate impact.
  • The personality to build a solid workplace network, visible, approachable and trusted.

If you’re an accredited coach (ICF, EMCC or similar), even better, but above all, you’re someone who connects with people and makes things happen.

The good stuff

  • £-K salary + Car allowance (£0.) + performance bonus (up to %)
  • Private healthcare for you and your family
  • A senior specialist role with real scope to influence learning culture.
  • The chance to build something and not just maintain it.
  • A collaborative HR and leadership community who want L&D to succeed.
  • Company pension scheme
  • Flexible benefits (gym membership, tech, health assessments and more)
  • Access to an online wellbeing centre
  • Discounts with a wide range of retailers
  • days’ holiday plus bank holidays, with buy/sell options
  • Electric Vehicle / Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle scheme
