We are looking for a Washbay Operative. || | What You’ll Be Doing: Work within the Washbay department, cleaning welfare units/plant equipment to company requirements in relation to safety, quality and efficiency. The Wash Bay is responsible for ensuring all plants are cleaned and replenished before they are dispatched and when they are returned to the depot, in order to ensure the product reaches the next customer in excellent condition. They are also a very important part of the team in advising us on operational repairs and damages upon return to the depot. Supporting all areas of the depot, from cleaning the product on its return to preparing the product for delivery. This role is key to ensuring our product reaches the customer by displaying our excellent standard of quality and ensuring it is in good working order. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities • Support the Depot Hire Operations and their team with the delivery of great quality supplied to our customers, through successful operational teamwork. • Work closely with stores, PDI, and yard personnel to ensure correct standard of product is delivered. • Demonstrate and maintain a high level of excellent, best housekeeping practises, in and around your working area. • To provide additional help and support to the operational teams when necessary. • Support the working environment with continuous improvement including compliance of the companies Quality policy, Quality System & the appropriate regulations for the area. • Use of appropriate PPE/work equipment to undertake tasks safely at all times. • Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures. What We’re Looking For: - Experience of working in a yard-based role - Cross functional team working - Eligible to work in the UK These qualities would be a great help: - Experience of working on vehicle maintenance - City & Guilds qualification or equivalent - Professional qualification in vehicle maintenance - Willingness to work unusual hours, if required - Willingness to travel, if required Why This Role Could Be for You: You will have an overall focus on attention to detail, take pride in your work and be a team player.
