What You’ll Be Doing
- The Depot Operations Lead will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day yard, washbay, and workshop operations within the depot are undertaken in a safe, effective & controlled manner.
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all safety rules.
- Improve and sustain housekeeping, perform risk assessments and support with continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure stock quality is delivered to a high standard.
- Embed Ss and Lean working process across the workshops.
- Monitoring all PDl's ensuring the quality standards is met for all outputs and delivered within the required timescales.
- Control of returned products ensuring all damages are captured, reported via the correct process and charged out the customer.
- Support the hire teams to ensure that all customer complaints, issues, or queries reach a successful conclusion and where necessary, elevate to the wider team.
- Process of all orders and workloads through BCA and lnsphire ensuring accurate asset management.
- Ensure all orders processed through this location are completed & delivered on time and in full.
- Plan workloads effectively and provide direction for colleagues as and when required.
- Liaise between operations, transport and the customer to efficiently answer general queries concerning deliveries and fleet standards.
- Provide information on stock availability and stock movements.
- Control overtime within the location in-line with budgeted hours.
- Support with stock control for both products and consumable items.
- Capture all damages on returning fleet and process charges with via depot administration.
- Lead and develop the operational team.
- Challenge poor behaviour in the right way and provide regular feedback to the team.
- Maintain a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a professional manner.
What We’re Looking for Is Someone with These Essentials
- Line management experience
- Experience of working in the plant/hire industry
- Experience of working in a customer focussed environment
- Awareness of Health and Safety legislation
- Full UK Driving Licence
These qualities would be a great help
- Relevant Health and Safety Qualification
- Relevant operator certification e.g. CPCS Plant Operator/ FLT License etc.
