Bibby Financial Services are growing, and we’re looking for an HR Business Partner to join our Manchester team on a Fixed Term, Maternity Cover contract. At the front line of strategic HR delivery, the HR Business Partner acts as the primary point of contact for the business leaders they support and is responsible for collaborating with HR colleagues across the function in deploying the full range of Group and business specific HR products and processes in an integrated fashion to help shape and drive overall business performance.
The incumbent will partner with assigned business areas to define people priorities, help shape people decisions, bringing to life Group, business and departmental people-related initiatives in a way that addresses and supports local business challenges.
What you’ll be doing:
- Partner with business leaders to agree relevant people plans and priorities for their business areas, aligned to the BFS People Plan, and Cluster People plan (if appropriate).
- Work with individual leaders and People Managers to ensure organisation and team design is fit for purpose to meet future business plans, ensuring accountabilities are clear and workforce interventions are identified and delivered, within headcount/financial budgets.
- Understand and work with People Managers to design, plan and implement the people elements of key Business Change projects.
- Drive and implement performance management within the teams working with People Managers, ensuring strong performance is rewarded and underperformance is addressed.
- Coach people managers to develop knowledge and good performance management practice and further embed the PM processes.
- Work with business leaders to help define recruitment requirements and ensure plans are in place to meet business needs.
- Work proactively with People Managers to support Senior recruitment.
- Support Communication and Engagement implementation activity within the teams, including review of Peakon data and agreeing action plans for improvement.
- In line with BFS and Group HR strategies and plans, collaborate with Centres of Expertise (CoE) on key people deliverables, including talent identification and development, learning needs and interventions and application of reward and benefits policies.
- Act as escalation point for complex and contentious employee relations matters, working with the relevant advisor/operations colleagues responsible for HR policies in the country in which the matter has arisen.
Who are we looking for?
- Educated to degree level in Human Resources, business or a related field, or equivalent HR experience. Post graduate/professional qualification desirable.
- Proven experience in HR business partnering/HR generalist roles in a commercial context, including delivery of support in some or all of the following: talent, reward, employee relations, reward and benefits and organisation design and development.
- Knowledge of employment law, regulations, and best practices in the countries in which your business leaders are operating.
- Experience of partnering with senior leaders and providing strategic advice and support, building and sustaining strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Experience with HRIS and other HR-related software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills across a range of seniorities within an organisation.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Experience participating in and leading projects advantageous and collaborating with Centres of Expertise to provide seamless HR support.
