This role gives you the chance to help design how we work in the future, not just respond to today’s problems.

BFS is in the middle of a major digital transformation. Not business as usual or incremental change, but a genuine shift in how work gets done. New operating models, new technology and lean, agile governance where decisions that can actually be made, get made quickly. This role sits at the heart of that transformation.

You’ll work alongside Product Owners, Scrum teams, developers and senior stakeholders to make sure the right problems are being solved, in the right way, at the right time.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives from discovery through to embed.
  • Lead and facilitate workshops, ideation sessions and discovery sessions with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and Scrum teams to define, refine and prioritise backlog items.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements using Agile formats (user stories, epics, acceptance criteria).
  • Work hands-on with developers and business owners, documenting requirements in DevOps, supporting sprint planning and ongoing delivery.
  • Design and document current and future state business processes, including change and alternative operating models.
  • Support the Customer Strategy and Enterprise Architect, helping shape standards, approaches and reusable assets.
  • Build and contribute to business cases, ensuring solutions are commercially sound and aligned to strategic outcomes.
  • Act as the bridge between business and technology, ensuring shared understanding and momentum.

This isn’t analysis for analysis’ sake. It’s practical, delivery-focused, and embedded in Agile teams.

What you’ll bring:

  • You’ll be an experienced Business Analyst, comfortable working in Agile environments and confident engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong requirements elicitation and business process design skills.
  • Experience working with Product Owners, developers and Scrum teams.
  • Confidence leading workshops and challenging thinking constructively.
  • A strategic mindset and able to look beyond pain points to end-state solutions.
  • Curiosity about technology and how it can enable better outcomes.
  • Agile experience (Scrum, Kanban), financial services exposure, or formal certifications are a bonus, but mindset and capability matter more.

The good stuff:

  • £55-65K salary + Car allowance (£5,610) + performance bonus (up to 20%).
  • You’ll work within lean, Agile governance frameworks that enable progress rather than slow it down.
  • You’ll be close to the technology, influencing how solutions are designed and delivered.
  • There’s clear ELT backing and appetite to invest in modern tools and platforms.
  • You’ll have space to think, challenge, and design (not just document).
  • Private healthcare for you and your family.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Flexible benefits (gym membership, tech, health assessments and more).
  • Access to an online wellbeing centre.
  • Discounts with a wide range of retailers.
  • 25 days’ holiday plus.
