This is a full‑time, on‑site EV Installer role based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The EV Installer will be responsible for installing, testing, and commissioning AC and DC EV charge points at customer sites, including commercial premises, public locations, and fleet facilities. Typical day‑to‑day tasks include:

• Conducting site surveys
• Preparing installation plans
• Running and terminating cables
• Mounting and connecting charge units
• Integrating them with relevant back‑office software
• Diagnosing and resolving faults
• Performing routine maintenance
• Completing electrical testing and certification
• Ensuring all work complies with current regulations and company standards

The EV Installer will interact with customers on‑site, explain how to use equipment safely, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.

Qualifications:

• Strong practical electrical installation skills, including cable routing, termination, testing, and fault‑finding in domestic and commercial environments.
• Good understanding of EV charging systems, related hardware, and associated software or back‑office platforms.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical regulations and safety standards, with the ability to apply them on‑site.
• Experience using electrical test equipment, documenting test results, and completing installation certificates or reports.
• Effective communication and customer‑service skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently on‑site, manage time efficiently, and coordinate with a wider project team when required.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.
• Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ/City & Guilds, 18th Edition or equivalent); EV charge point installation training or certification is highly beneficial.
• Comfort using mobile devices or apps to receive job information, capture photos, update records, and close out work orders.
