Supply Animal Technician

As an when required

Are you passionate about animal care and looking for a role that offers flexibility, variety, and the opportunity to work within a dynamic animal centre environment? Do you thrive in hands‑on settings and want to support excellent welfare standards across a diverse range of species?

If so, becoming a Supply Animal Technician at Easton College could be the perfect fit.

As a supply technician, you’ll be called upon to provide essential cover during staff absence, including sickness, holidays and busy periods, ensuring that animal welfare, husbandry and daily routines continue seamlessly. There are no set hours, making this ideal for someone who wants flexible, meaningful work within the animal care sector.

You’ll be a valued part of our team, helping to maintain high standards across our Animal Management Centre while gaining varied experience across multiple sections and species.

In this flexible and rewarding role, you will:

  • Maintain excellent standards of animal welfare and husbandry across all sections of the Animal Management Centre
  • Support enrichment schedules and training programmes to promote natural behaviour, exercise, and safe handling
  • Assist with enclosure maintenance, ensuring spaces are safe, engaging and species‑appropriate
  • Monitor animal health, administer treatments under veterinary instruction and report concerns promptly
  • Prepare diets, clean enclosures, maintain records and contribute to welfare audits
  • Supervise students during duties sessions and practical activities
  • Help with demonstrations, practical setups and student skill development
  • Support college events, Open Days and activities when required

Every shift will bring something different—new species, new challenges, and plenty of opportunities to develop your knowledge and practical skills.

We’re keen to hear from you if you have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong, hands‑on husbandry and handling skills with a range of species
  • Confidence in maintaining enclosures and supporting basic animal health protocols
  • A flexible, adaptable approach and the ability to work independently
  • A passion for welfare, education and supporting student learning
  • A full driving licence

Experience with enrichment, training programmes or animal management software is a bonus but not essential.

At Easton College, we value kindness, curiosity, inclusivity and professionalism. You’ll be joining a supportive team that works collaboratively to provide the best possible environment for both animals and students.

If you’re looking for flexible work where no two days are the same and where your skills directly support animal welfare and student learning, we’d love to hear from you.

Join our Supply Technician team and help us continue delivering outstanding care across our Animal Centre.

Closing date: Sunday 15 February 2026 at Midnight
