Knowsley Safari, Merseyside. We are recruiting for an Ungulate Keeper to join our Ungulate team on a fixed term basis until 04 October 2026. Applicants must be hard-working, conscientious, able to work as part of a team and always looking to pursue high standards of welfare and husbandry, as well as visitor experience. They will have knowledge and experience of working with safe working protocols and must be able to follow instructions well. Along with good interpersonal/communication skills and being able to work efficiently and independently as well as within the team. We expect the successful individual to provide excellent customer service to our guests. The successful candidates will be expected to have an animal-based qualification or equivalent experience. As this is a physically demanding role, candidates must be physically fit. Candidates will need to have a full driving licence (not just an automatic). Experience driving tractors and off-road vehicles would be advantageous. Due to the position of the park your own transport is essential.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the Ungulate team on a fixed term basis until 04 October 2026.
- Maintain high welfare and husbandry standards, and support visitor experience.
- Follow safe working protocols, follow instructions, and work efficiently both independently and as part of the team.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests.
Qualifications
- Animal-based qualification or equivalent experience.
- Physically fit for a physically demanding role.
- Full driving licence (not only automatic); experience driving tractors and off-road vehicles advantageous.
