We are looking for proactive individuals to join our team at Martin Mere Wetland Centre. This is a unique opportunity to work for a local conservation charity and popular visitor attraction.
You will not only be working in a unique natural setting but be part of the exceptional visitor experience at this busy visitor attraction.
As a Trading Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in all catering areas:
- giving a warm welcome to every visitor to the café, demonstrating exceptional standards of customer service
- taking orders, making hot drinks as well as serving our seasonal menu and clearing tables
- helping in the kitchen, ensuring you maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety at all times.
Above all you will be contributing to an exceptional visitor experience.
This is a casual position and hours are offered and worked on an ad-hoc basis as and when required.
About You
Candidates will be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent and will, ideally, have demonstrable experience gained within a similar catering operation. You will have some experience of cash handling and a basic certificate in food hygiene (Level 2) is desirable, though not essential, as training will be provided.
You\’ll be reliable, proactive and enjoy working as part of an effective and friendly team.
