Act as a link between the Medical Affairs area and the Health Care Professionals (HCPs), taking a predominant scientific approach and guaranteeing that different stakeholders have access to medical and scientific information, in compliance with current and internal legislation, regulations and policies.
The Impact You’ll Make
- Provide technical and scientific expertise (both internally and externally) under the scope of the product and therapeutic areas;
- Create, develop and maintain a strong, close and bi-directional scientific relationship with leading and current key opinion leaders (KOLs), opinion leaders (OL), scientific groups, academic groups and other relevant external stakeholders;
- Implement and disseminate high quality medical and scientific educational programs at regional and national level, working with KOLs or acting directly as a speaker on scientific presentations at meetings, organized by the company or external scientific groups;
- Support the Marketing and Commercial functions in scientific development, providing scientific training to the team when necessary;
- Identify and follow-up on clinical investigation projects, including keeping track of the progression of Investigator-Initiated Studies and supporting internal clinical development recruitment efforts in the assigned territory;
- Collect relevant and actionable insights regarding patient care, treatment management, educational needs and scientific data gaps;
- Collaborate effectively with other departments, teams and colleagues as required, to support the overall company objectives;
- Appropriately respond to unsolicited medical questions about B’s marketed or investigational drugs;
- Collect and notify Pharmacovigilance on adverse events;
- Support the preparation of publications;
- Keep up to date and critically evaluate literature, interpret complex data, and adapt delivery (including preparing presentations) of information to a variety of audiences;
- Contribute, upon request, in the definition of the strategic plan, as well in the approval of promotional materials;
- Represent Bial at national and international scientific conferences, as required.

What You’ll Bring
- Academic degree in Life Sciences or relevant scientific discipline (PhD, PharmD, MD preferred);
- Previous experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry;
- Ability to build and maintain relationships and project-based partnerships with KOLs, healthcare professionals, and internal stakeholders in a complex matrix environment;
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Excellent communication skills in both 1-to-1 and 1-to-many settings, including presenting complex topics to audiences with varying degrees of expertise;
- Ability to quickly and independently interpret and summarize large amounts of scientific data, applying it proactively in the right context.
