Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant II for our Lyerly Neurosurgery office located in Downtown Jacksonville. This is a Full-Time opportunity. The experienced candidate will be assisting one provider with Medical Assistant tasks. The candidate will cross train and must have good customer service skills. Neurosurgery experience is not necessary, but candidate must be trainable. This office is high volume which means you will never be bored.

Medical Assistant II, Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides medical assistance to physician
  • Obtains vital signs
  • Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
  • Maintains medical documentation
  • Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
  • Processes prescription requests and referrals
  • Additional responsibilities may be required based upon office needs

Experience Requirements:

  • 3-5 years Patient Care Experience
  • Experience in Physician’s office

Education & Credential Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED Required
  • Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Certified Medical Assistant Required
