This is a whole time post based on 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) per week Specialty Doctor Contract. Post offers 8 PA\’s dedicated to clinical duties in Anaesthetics, 1 Supporting PA and additional 1 PA\’s for special interests and personal development. You will be joining a dynamic and forward thinking team of doctors and the division of Anaesthesia at BHRUT provides anaesthetic, critical care and acute and chronic pain services for the local population. This takes the form of elective and emergency anaesthesia supporting the broad range of surgical specialties that the Trust provides critical care services including a consultant lead critical care outreach team acute pain ward rounds and outpatient clinics for chronic pain, anaesthetic pre-assessment and critical care follow-up. The job advert will close early if sufficient applications are received. Main duties of the job Contribute (in co-operation with the Audit Committee) on a regular basis to the clinical audit process undertaken within the Trust, and where appropriate at a broader regional level. Encourage and participate in appropriate research initiatives approved by the local Ethical Committee. Experience in research and audit is advantageous. Maintain an up to date knowledge of current anaesthetic practice. Undertake administrative duties associated with the care of patients. Attend departmental meetings. Support the Divisional Director, Specialty Lead, Associate medical Director and other professional colleagues in the management of the department in order to ensure the maintenance of high standards, a good quality of patient care and the development of the service within the Clinical Governance framework.
