We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Consultant to join our large, collaborative team of Obstetrics and Gynaecology consultants. The successful candidate will contribute to all standard elements of the role while also bringing advanced skills and leadership in the management of complex endometriosis, supporting the continued development of our specialist service. Main duties of the job:
- Regular bedside teaching for the Clinical Fellows
- Monthly morbidity and mortality meetings
- Simulation sessions and other courses
- Yearly session for the weekly Hospital Grand Round
- Induction and in-house teaching of medical students and overseas students and trainees
- Support for the Trust induction programme
- Teaching sessions on the Trust Foundation Teaching Programme (consistent with SPA activity)
Person specification:
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
- MBBS
- MRCOG
- Full GMC registration
- CCT or equivalent in obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Fully trained obstetrician able to manage the labour ward independently, including high risk caesarean sections
- ATSM in Advanced Labour Ward Practice
Employment conditions:
All new staff appointed to posts at the Trust are subject to a probationary period. All salaries are inclusive of standard allowances such as High Cost Area for staff on Agenda for Change contracts.
