Main duties of the job
- The main duties of the applicant include managing and treating Gastroenterology patients.
- The Clinical Fellow (ST2 equivalent) will work as an integrated member of the general medical team at Queen’s or King’s George Hospital under the supervision of consultants.
- Banding post participating in medical on-call rota.
- Ward commitments including inpatient and outpatient opportunities.
- Supervised academic training time including study days.
- Supportive working environment for career development including procedure and work-based assessments.
- Annual and study leave entitlement.
- Participation in the process of medical audit.
- Active postgraduate education centre with a well-stocked library.
- Regular meetings are held, and the appointee will be expected to attend and participate in the weekly Grand Round.
- Monthly clinical audit programme, each firm taking responsibility in rotation. Attendance at this meeting is mandatory.
Qualifications & Experience
- GMC Registration
- Evidence of successful completion of Core Medical Training (CMT)
- Full MRCP MSC
- Experience of acting up as a medical registrar on the acute medical take
