We are recruiting a Band 7 Ultrasound Sonographer to deliver high‑quality diagnostic ultrasound services within our Trust, supporting the superintendent radiographer and fostering training and audit leadership.
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality Diagnostic Ultrasound service to the Trust.
- Operate under the direction of the superintendent radiographer, organising day‑to‑day departmental activities.
- Accept responsibility for designated areas of work within the department.
- Support trainee sonographers, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Lead and participate in centrally registered audit and continuous improvement programmes.
Person Specification
Experience
- National Health Service experience in ultrasound imaging post‑qualification.
Education / Qualifications
- BSc Hons or DCR in Diagnostic Radiography.
Skills / Abilities
- High level interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient scanning skills in obstetrics, DVT, groin, hernia, testes, MSK, kidney transplants, paediatrics.
Other
- Ability to perform the duties of the post with any aids and adaptations.
