A Learning Technologist at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT), located at the Trust’s main sites in Goodmayes and Romford.

Main duties of the job:
- Be a key contributor to the design, delivery and evolution of digital learning across the Trust.
- Develop engaging online and blended learning experiences that are inclusive, accessible and pedagogically robust.
- Support staff and learners to confidently use digital tools and platforms, including VLEs, e-portfolios, video, e-assessment and generative AI.
- Work hands-on with tools such as Articulate, Captivate, Kaltura and emerging learning technologies.
- Provide training, workshops and 1:1 coaching to build digital confidence and capability.
- Play an active and supportive role in digital transformation projects, innovation pilots and impact evaluation.
- Help shape communities of practice, digital ambassador networks and the wider digital learning culture.

Person Specification:
- Education / Qualifications: First degree in technology, media or education related subject or extensive relevant experience. PG Certificate in Online Teaching.
- Skills / Abilities: Good understanding of the pedagogical, social and cultural issues affecting the adoption of new learning environments/technologies and strategies to deal with them.
- Experience / Knowledge: Demonstrable experience of working collaboratively with subject matter experts to design effective online learning and blended learning programmes. Experience of teaching in the higher education context. Project management experience with evidence of supporting digital transformation, digital academy development, digital boot camps.
