Responsibilities
Assist in high quality, holistic care to children, young people and their families by working effectively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team. Provide care under the direct supervision and direction of registered children’s nurses. Work autonomously within guidelines, caring for low acuity children in ward settings and assisting registered nurses with higher acuity children. Proactively monitor and anticipate the needs of patients within the boundaries of the job description. Possess excellent communication, hardworking, reliable, dedicated and good organisational skills.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a health related subject
- Educated to GCSE level including Maths and English
- NVQ in customer care
- Previous experience working with children
- Able to use Microsoft excel/PowerPoint
- Previous experience working in an acute care setting
- Able to work under pressure/ unplanned situations/ deal with interruptions to work
Employment details
