Purpose
The Principal Sales Liaison (Uranium) will be responsible for managing relationships with BHP’s global uranium customer base, with the aim of maximising BHP’s uranium revenue.
About the Role
You will be part of BHP’s London (UK) based Sales & Marketing team, reporting to the Manager European Sales Liaison (Metals). Your core accountabilities will be to:
- Develop and manage operational and strategic uranium customer relationships including contract negotiations and contract management.
- Manage BHP’s uranium position in accordance with internal risk and compliance policies, ensuring timely deliveries and that working capital targets are met.
- Leverage external networks to gather market intelligence and test assumptions to market outlooks.
- Provide insights on industry trends and market dynamics to drive enhanced decision making and planning.
- Support the development of the uranium commodity and placement strategy.
- Identify and assess risks, make risk informed decisions to support safe and productive performance outcomes.
- Identify, engage and manage a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with internal risk and compliance policies, and the relevant external laws and regulations.
- Contribute to a positive, open and inclusive culture at BHP.
About You

- You will have demonstrated experience with commodity sales and marketing activities in the global context. Experience in uranium is preferred.

- You will be able to build a strong rapport and credibility with internal stakeholders and external customers.
- You will be able to work with technical and commercial subject matter experts and quickly grasp technical problems / complex issues and synthesise.
- You will be able to demonstrate strong business acumen and have an understanding of the key drivers of the uranium market.
- You are proficient in English. Other language skills (Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean) will be a plus.
- Proven ability to analyse and effectively communicate (written and oral) complex matters to a wider range of stakeholders.
