Accounts Semi Senior in Halesowen

Accounts Semi Senior Jerroms, part of the Sumer Group, are looking to appoint an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their growing team in Halesowen This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant who is AAT Level 3 or 4 qualified/studying and looking to develop their career within a well-established accountancy firm. Key Responsibilities As an Accounts Semi-Senior, you will work closely with a portfolio of clients and be responsible for: * Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements * Producing management accounts * Preparing and submitting VAT returns * Assisting with bookkeeping and general accounts work * Dealing with client queries and building strong client relationships * Supporting more senior members of the team * Working across a range of accounting software, including Sage, Xero and QuickBooks Skills, Knowledge & Expertise We are looking for someone with: * AAT Level 3 or Level 4, or currently studying towards AAT/ACA/ACCA * Previous accountancy practice experience – essential * Experience preparing accounts and VAT returns * Good technical accounting knowledge * Strong communication and organisational skills * A proactive approach and willingness to develop * Experience with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or IRIS would be advantageous Belong @ Sumer At Sumer, we know everyone’s journey is different.
