We are currently seeking a Purchasing / Administration Assistant to support our busy Purchasing Department.
Working as a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day activities within the department.
Main Responsibilities
- Raising and processing purchase orders.
- Ensuring purchase order information is accurate and up to date within our systems.
- Liaising with suppliers regarding orders and general enquiries.
- Supporting the buyers in researching new products and suppliers, and maintaining accurate supplier contract records.
- Providing support across the purchasing and material control department as required.
Essential Skills and Experience Required
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience within a structural steel or construction environment would be advantageous but is not essential. No previous experience is required as full training will be provided.
