We are currently recruiting for a Loader to join our Paint Shop team. This is a key operational role responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient loading of structural steel for delivery to site. Working closely with production, transport and dispatch teams, you will help ensure materials are prepared and delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.

Duties of the role include:

  • Interpret load sheets, assembly drawings, and loading instructions to prepare steel for dispatch.
  • Build and load materials safely, ensuring stability, correct weight distribution, and safe unloading on site.
  • Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Carry out final quality checks before dispatch, identifying and reporting any damage or defects.
  • Use internal scanning systems and apps to confirm materials, maintain traceability, and complete final sign-off.
  • Secure loads in line with company procedures and transport regulations.
  • Work closely with supervisors, transport teams, and drivers to meet dispatch schedules and priorities.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe loading area while following all Health and Safety procedures.
