Our valued client base includes some of the UK’s foremost main contractors and developers, which enables us to work across different sectors, including Agriculture, Commercial, Education, Health, Industrial, Oil and Gas and Retail.

Due to the growth and expansion of the business we are recruiting Civils and Groundwork operatives to join our busy teams working UK wide. Our construction projects vary from commercial units to agricultural buildings and house building. As key members of the construction team, you will be required to work within a team. You will report to the Construction and Project Managers, undertaking a wide variety of construction projects. Experience is essential – ideally with experience on various projects, including drainage, steel fixing, formwork, in situ reinforced concrete walls, concrete flooring, operating plant. You must also have an in date SMSTS, SSSTS, CSCS, CPCS Plant with first aid being desirable.

Main duties (dependent on role) will include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning the resources required in line with the site programme to ensure targets are met.
  • Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed and the correct PPE is worn.
  • Carry out site inductions, tool box talks and check certifications.
  • Supervise various trades and subcontractors.
  • Be involved with the construction of commercial and agricultural projects.
  • Various groundworks including the setting of levels and excavations, concreting works including slabs, foundations, formation works, drainage and reinforcement.
  • On larger projects, it may require coordinating and interfacing with other works such as steel erecting and cladding.

What We’re Looking For:

  • SMSTS / SSSTS, CSCS and CPCS operating licenses preferred (although training will be given).
  • Experience of carrying out the role with civils contractors / construction companies.
  • Working away from home.
