We currently have a vacancy for CNC Operators who are familiar with Structural Steel Sections, reporting to the CNC/Production Manager. The role is to ensure all parts are processed accurately and on time, in a cost- effective manner. Ensuring materials are available to the Fabrication Department when required.

Key duties include

• Operating equipment required for the role in a safe manner, including the use of overhead cranes.
• Ensure all tooling is correct and fit for purpose before carrying out the task ahead.
• Complete relevant documentation and record work activity using TnT scanning systems or Strumis systems. (This are in house tracking and recording system)
• Continuous housekeeping always ensuring a clean and safe working environment following BHC written work instructions.
• Adhere to BHC Health and Safety procedures at all times.
• Communicate with manager and maintenance department to report any issues with machine.
• Perform regular accuracy checks and record results to ensure a quality product.
• Ensure products are correctly marked before passing to next operation.

The successful candidate will be a good communicator, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You should be conscientious, hardworking, flexible and health and safety aware.

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving appropriate quality standards in a safe manner, whilst meeting production targets.
