About Us
Bharani Imports and Exports is a fast-growing India-based export company with a strong track record in fresh fruits and vegetable exports, currently expanding operations to the UK market. With over 45 international shipments this mango season alone, we are now setting up our own distribution model in the UK to serve both B2B and B2C segments.
Job Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual to oversee our UK operations. This is a dynamic, multi-functional role for someone with solid experience in sales, logistics, and last-mile delivery management.
You will be responsible for handling everything end-to-end – from receiving shipments to generating sales, managing deliveries, and supporting our soon-to-launch e-commerce platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and acquire B2B customers (Indian & ethnic grocery stores, restaurants, etc.)
- Drive B2C sales through our online platform – manage delivery team and route planning
- Pick up shipments from UK airports, manage cold chain & storage, and distribute goods
- Coordinate daily order processing and fulfilment for both retail and wholesale clients
- Liaise with Indian HQ for product planning, stock forecasting, and reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate communication with customers and delivery drivers
- Maintain basic records, invoices, and payment tracking
- Represent Bharani professionally in all business interactions
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales and/or operations (food/FMCG/logistics preferred)
- Must have a valid UK driver’s license & own vehicle (mandatory)
- Good understanding of UK geography and retail environment
- Excellent communication skills – English & familiarity with Indian languages is a plus
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Legal right to work in the UK
