The role: BH Live is recruiting for a full time NPLQ qualified Lifeguard to join our team at BH Live Active, Bitterne in Southampton. Bitterne Leisure Centre is a multi-complex facility, offering activities for visitors of all ages and abilities to help improve health and wellbeing. Swimming lessons and sessions take place regularly across a 25m main pool (complete with a water slide) and a 10m learner pool.

You will:

  • Work poolside and be the main point of contact for our customers.
  • Ensure our customers are kept safe and comply with the centre rules.
  • Erect, dismantle and move equipment.
  • Clean the centre and equipment.
  • Be vigilant and supervise people who are using the pool and centre facilities.

You will need:

  • Your NPLQ qualification
  • Satisfactory DBS Clearance
  • Be a confident swimmer
  • To keep calm under pressure and have good initiative
  • The ability to concentrate whilst working poolside
  • Great customer service skills
  • To be available to work hours aligned to the centre's opening hours, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
  • Be willing to work at other local sites.
