The role:
BH Live is recruiting for a full time Recreation Team Leader to assist our Customer Operations Managers at BH Live Active, Pelhams. A vibrant community hub, the team at Pelhams works closely with the local community and health groups to provide fitness and social activities for all. Swimming facilities include two pools with lane swimming, public swim sessions, pool-based classes, fun for young people, lessons and more. There is also a sauna for post-workout relaxation.
Hours of work will be on shift rota basis that is aligned to the centres opening hours and will include working evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
You will:
- Assist the Customer Operations Manager in the supervision and direction of all Recreation Assistants on duty to ensure a safe and smooth implementation of the Pelhams programme.
- Ensure the Centre is operating to a safe and high standard.
- Supervise the public during their participation of the Centre\’s programme, ensuring their safety and compliance with Centre rules.
- Assist with training of new team members and ongoing training and development of the team.
- Assist with compliance for the centre, for example legionella management.
To be successful you will need:
- First aid at work certificate
- Experience of working in a customer facing role
- To be calm and level headed under pressure
- It is also desirable that you have your National Pool Supervisor and Pool Plant Operators Qualification
