FTE Salary: £26,681 per annum

Hours: 24 hours per week

The role:

BH Live is recruiting for a part time Duty Manager to join our team at Charter Community Sports Centre. Located in Portsmouth’s busy university district, a short distance from Portsmouth\’s city centre, Charter Community Sports Centre has swimming, gym, and sports facilities.

You will support the Customer Operations Manager is ensuring that customers receive excellent service and are kept safe when visiting Charter Community Sports Centre . You will have day to day management of the centre whilst you are on duty and will need to have previous experience of either supervising or managing a team, ideally in a leisure environment.

Hours of work will be on shift rota basis that is aligned to the centres opening hours and will include working evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

You will:

· Supervise the public in their participation of the Centre\’s programme, ensuring their safety and compliance with the Centre\’s rules.

· Present high standards and ensure our Lifeguards/Recreation Assistants adopt the same approach aligned to BH Live policies and procedures.

· Be fully aware of the centres normal operating procedures and emergency action plan.

· Be able to make decisions.

To be successful you will need:

· Experience of working with customers face to face.

· Previous supervisory/management experience.

· A passion to provide excellent customer service.

· Be able to work hours aligned to the centres opening hours.

· Previous experience of working within a sports/recreation industry.

· A first aid at work qualification and NPLQ certificate is required but training can be offered on appointment.
