BH Live is recruiting for a Casual receptionist to join our team at the Mountbatten Leisure Centre in Portsmouth. This is a busy role, providing high-quality customer service to all our customers and ensuring that our customers’ needs are fully met. Mountbatten Centre offers access to high-quality fitness facilities including a cardio zone, free weights, functional fitness, group cycle studio, sports hall, running track, swimming pool & spa.
You will:
- Provide customer service and assist and advise all our customers in a polite and friendly manner, to make their visit to the centre an enjoyable experience.
- Be responsible for the collection, control, and reconciliation of income in line with the centre’s procedure on cash handling.
- Administer a booking system.
- Administer and maintain membership schemes.
- Assist with the administration of all centre’s courses, parties, and activities.
- Assist with membership sales and enquiries.
- Present to the public a high personal standard of appearance and presentation as per the centre’s staff charter.
- Assist with general clerical duties including typing, preparation of literature and notices.
- Assist with issuing leisure cards.
- Operate our switchboard ensuring calls are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
- Assist with the review and implementation of new systems applicable to the efficient operation of the customer service area.
You will need:
- A genuine passion for providing excellent customer-focused service with great communication skills.
- You will need to be flexible in your approach to your working hours and to be available to work the hours that the site is open on a rota basis, this includes working evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Due to the nature of our business hours of work will include weekends, bank holidays and evenings.
