Salary: £32,427 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Fixed term contract

Anticipated start date: July 2026

End date of Fixed term appointment: up to 1 year or return of substantive postholder whichever is sooner

The role: BH Live is recruiting for an experienced Marketing Executive to join our team at Bournemouth International Centre on a fixed-term basis, linked to a period of maternity leave. This post will help the marketing and communications team to plan and deliver multichannel marketing activities, including sales activities, lead generation and awareness campaigns; customer, colleague and stakeholder communication and engagement, and activities that support customer retention for BH Live Active's leisure centres, sports facilities, attractions and parkland across Dorset and Hampshire.

You will:

  • Be a versatile and experienced marketeer and team player, passionate about establishing briefs, and then planning and developing vibrant and engaging content for use across various platforms, including but not limited to digital, media, print, audio and video channels.
  • Combine excellent communication and marketing skills to establish briefs and deliver high-quality campaigns and projects for agreed outcomes, with an eye for detail, great organisation, working to a budget and deadline, and comfortable in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
  • Be quick to establish positive and professional working relationships. Liaising with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders is key to ensuring output is engaging, factual, follows process and achieves the desired outcome.
  • Demonstrate activity outcomes to help inform and shape future marketing activity.

To be successful you will need:

  • A keen interest in sports and leisure, including but not limited to gyms, swimming, exercise classes, football, tennis, gymnastics, health and wellbeing activities.
  • A relevant qualification or substantial experience working within a marketing and communications team.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and ability to quickly build collaborative relationships with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding and experience of using digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Curiosity and interest in industry and local community trends and opportunities.
