You will propose targets which will be agreed with the GDOSR and will be responsible for managing and reporting on a sales pipeline, negotiating contracts and collaborating with revenue and marketing. Local support will be given by attending networking events, promoting the hotels to new and existing businesses and engaging the onsite teams on how to communicate any sales leads or ideas.
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing & Implementing Strategy: Creating and executing national sales strategies aligned with the hotel group's objectives to increase market share and revenue.
- Demand forecasting: Taking the lead in producing a new and confirmed revenue forecast taking into consideration its pipeline and current performance.
- Pricing strategy: Taking an active role in agreeing with the GDOSR corporate and taking ownership for communicating these changes and targets.
- Continuous performance improvement: Continually looking at ways to generate new and additional revenue and encouraging ideas and collaboration with the wider team.
- Communicating with the reservations team ensuring they are fully aware of clients won and that any challenges should be escalated to them.
- Account Management: Holding regular account reviews with clients so we can understand current and predicted business volumes. As part of this review, they will negotiate rates at the appropriate time.
What we are looking for:
You’ll have a wealth of group national sales experience in the hotel or accommodation sectors and be able to demonstrate the ability to work alone but collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders. You’ll need a broad understanding of revenue management and reservations systems and a strong numerical aptitude. We are building a culture of continuous development which you will champion along with fairness, inclusivity and mutual respect. Previous experience or solid knowledge of other revenue streams i.e. Food and Beverage, Spa and Leisure, Meetings and Events and Retail would be a definite bonus.
