We are recruiting for an M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) Technician. This role forms part of the wider FM team from an M&E perspective across the sites and helps to ensure all M&E services are operational and maintained accordingly. This role involves maintaining and repairing existing M&E services and carrying out new installations. You will supervise external contractors ensuring that risk assessments and method statements are provided, and ensure efficient operation and compliance of all facilities, focusing on planned and reactive maintenance.

Some of the great things you will be involved in:
- Provide general maintenance support for M&E tasks and assist with repairs and maintenance in line with current level of qualification and experience.
- Support in the completion of all Planned and Preventative maintenance (PPM) in accordance with the compliance schedules.
- Supervise external contractors as and when required with on-site works and coordinate offsite contracting when necessary.
- Work as part of the wider Facilities Management team both on BAU and project activity.
- Ability to communicate well with others and interpret work instructions and establish good customer relationships across the business.
- Ensure all M&E operations comply with Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of PPM compliance, including audits, certifications, inspections, and incident reports.
- Promote a safety-first culture within the FM team and among contractors.
What we’d love to see from you:
- Good experience of working within an M&E or Facilities management environment.
- Qualified (or studying to achieve) city and guilds construction qualification in maintenance operations or similar.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software.
- Positive attitude and an excellent team player.
- Good self-motivator, with the ability to work under limited supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supervising contractors and managing on-site work.
- Familiarity with Cherwell and PPM Systems or similar job management systems.
