Job Title: Supervisor

Purpose of Job

Providing technical planned and reactive support, and assistance of engineering teams ensuring operational and compliance standards are met and exceeded.

The role will cover HV/LV and MEP strategies and the continual development and implementation of company IT systems. The role will also include site mobilisation actions and support functions for project tasks and the wider professional services functions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for technical supervision to ensure that all technical services commitments are met.
  2. Responsible for HV/LV activities ensuring full compliance with BGIS HV/LV rules.
  3. Responsible for ensuring that statutory & code compliance of sites is adhered to by the local management team and supported by specialists when required.
  4. Ensure that risk management is being delivered in a consistent manner.
  5. Ensure areas of team development are recognised and action plans are in place.
  6. High Voltage appointed engineer.
  7. Mechanical appointed engineer.
  8. Confined Space appointed engineer.
  9. Updates to the SSOW mechanical rules.
  10. Updates to the SSOW HV/LV rules.
  11. Provide technical support to local teams.
  12. Ensure staffing structures and competencies operate across all sites, including HV/APs, always where required.
  13. Investigate and assist with RCAs on major operational incidents.
  14. Attend operational meetings as required.
  15. Actively promote management systems and processes developed for BGIS across all contracts to ensure consistency.
  16. Attend regular meetings with site management to discuss local issues or concerns.
  17. Communicate any contractual concerns with management to ensure resolution.
  18. Design, develop, and implement business leading concepts.
  19. Promote and maintain the core values of BGIS.
  20. Maintain commercial awareness and understanding of supply chain management.
  21. Support with raising quotes, POs, invoices, budgeting, and contracts.

Accountabilities

  1. Reporting to the Operations Manager.
  2. Working collaboratively with the technical services team.
  3. Responsible for managing a shift team and managing the shift rota.
