  • Purpose of the Job

Providing leadership, management, and development of a defined team ensuring operational commitments are met and exceeded.

The role will require close liaison with employees, client, and internal senior managers.

The operation should be Proactive and driven to achieve total customer satisfaction, whilst ensuring operational and fiscal plans are at least achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the H&Sof the sites and engineers.
  • Work closely with the Contract Manager to ensure that the service levels are maintained to a consistently high level.
  • Provide support and work closely with the Technical Supervisor.
  • Support the Helpdesk in achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for Statutory &Code compliance of sites.
  • Ensure engineers are fully equipped to carry out daily tasks.
  • Plan PPM schedules for sites to ensure an even workloadin conjunction with the Contract Manager.
  • Ensure PPM is carriedout in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines and HVCA SFG20.
  • Responsible for the returnof PPM and work relateddocumentation.
  • Risk Management.
  • Man Management/Team Development.
  • Disciplinary and Conflict management.
  • Responsible for the fast and effective procurement of materials and services.
  • Proactively sourceadditional works and raise quotations.
  • Provide technical support to engineers, helpdeskand clients.
  • Carry out monthly site reviews.
  • Carry out engineers appraisals.
  • Ensure all callouts are attended to, in conjunction with the helpdesk.
  • Assist engineers carrying out PPM where required.
  • Attend operational meetings as required.
  • Ensure weekly tasks have been completed.
  • Ensure customer service levelsare maintained.
  • Ensure uniforms are being worn and are in good condition.
  • Ensure all 3rd party contracts have been carriedout .

Education

A good general education is essential, ideallysome engineering experience and qualifications

Training

Incumbents must be able to demonstrate a career showingcontinuous personal development.

Up to date technical knowledge of ACOP’s, FGAS, fire and environmental control measures, building control requirements, and the Health and Safety at Work Act.

Experience

Experience in supervision of engineers

Technical experience in Commercial A/C and Chillers / Applications.

The development and review of teams, appraisal, and the application of effective people management practice.
