About the Role: We are looking for a Deputy Shift Leader to support the maintenance of office environments and critical building systems. You will supervise a shift team, ensuring planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works are completed safely and to a high standard. This role also involves stepping in for the Shift Leader when required and liaising with clients professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and assist the shift team with PPM and reactive maintenance on M&E plant.
- Ensure all tasks are logged and updated in the CAFM system.
- Oversee sub-contractors, ensuring safe and compliant work.
- Diagnose and resolve plant faults quickly to maintain service.
- Manage spares and source quotes for parts when needed.
- Complete all paperwork and update systems promptly.
- Prepare and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Maintain plant rooms in a clean, secure condition.
- Monitor building conditions via BMS and ensure compliance with KPIs and SLAs.
- Support health and safety standards, including PPE and LOTO procedures.
What We're Looking For:
- Formal training in Electro-Mechanical principles (Level 3 NVQ or equivalent).
- Experience in building services within a corporate or complex environment.
- Previous supervisory experience and shift work background.
- Strong communication and IT skills, with a logical approach to problem-solving.
- Flexible and willing to provide cover at short notice.
